OLEGARIO MARTÍN SÁNCHEZ. (Mohedas de Granadillas, Cáceres 1960) "Licenciado" of Fine Arts of the University of Seville, where he graduated in Sculpture (1986), and received his doctorate degree at the University of Seville (1990). His dissertation was about the Concept and the Stone Carving Technique. Since 1993 he has been a lecturer in the Department of Sculpture and Plastic Arts History. He teaches in the Bachelors and Masters programs, and is a member of the doctoral programme of Art and Heritage. He has been the main researcher of the research group TEBRO (Técnicas de la Escultura en Bronce, HUM 491) ("Bronze Sculpture Technique") since 1991, and has developed research like "Excelencia Colada Automática de Procedimiento Eutéctico en la Fundición Artística" project (2007-2012). He has prompted the artistic casting with the current Plan of Studies, where he participates actively and found the Casting Room. He has given several presentations in conferences, and has also published and led seven dissertations. He has displayed four individual exhibitions and has participated in several collective exhibitions. He has attended the main fairs of contemporary art in Spain (ARCO, Foro Sur, Foro Atlántico, Tránsito, Hotel y Arte). Some of his works are in private collections and museums, public monuments and first awards during his artistic career.
