González López, María José

MARÍA JOSÉ GONZÁLEZ LÓPEZ, received her doctorate degree in Fine Arts at the University of Seville, specializing in Painting and Restoration. She specialized in Conservation-Restoration at the "Institute Royale du Patrimoine Artistique" (IRPA) Brussels, Belgium.

Professor at the University of Seville, in the Bachelor of Conservation-Restoration and related Masters: Architecture and Historical Heritage (University of Seville), Management and Conservation of Heritage (University of Córdoba); Museums and Management of Collections (University of Granada); and Rehabilitation, Conservation and Restoration of Built Heritage (University of La Laguna)-

Director of the Research Group Conservation of Heritage. Methods and Techniques (C&P). Research of the Project I+D+I Terránica: " La escultura en terracota policromada". Coordinator of the Research Project: "Policromía. Escultura policromada religiosa de los siglos XVII y XVII". Programme "Marco RAPHAEL". 

Ex-Chief of the Department of Treatment of the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage. She coordinates and runs among other projects: "Capilla Real”, “Retablo de los Santos Juanes” of the Real Chapel of Granada, “El Giraldillo”, the paintings of “La Sala de los Reyes”of the Alhambra in Granada” (IAPH) or, the project “Taller de Retablos” (The Getty Conservation Institute-IAPH).
